The Buckle, Inc. Reports August 2008 Net Sales

The Buckle, Inc. (NYSE: BKE) announced today that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the four-week period ended August 30, 2008 increased 22.4 percent from comparable store net sales for the four-week period ended September 1, 2007. Net sales for the four-week fiscal month ended August 30, 2008 increased 29.3 percent to $77.5 million from net sales of $59.9 million for the prior year four-week fiscal month ended September 1, 2007.

Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the 30-week period ended August 30, 2008 increased 25.9 percent from comparable store net sales for the 30-week period ended September 1, 2007. Net sales for the 30-week fiscal period ended August 30, 2008 increased 33.5 percent to $407.5 million from net sales of $305.3 million for the prior year 30-week fiscal period ended September 1, 2007.
