Cat Survives Being Walled Up Under Bathtub For 7 Weeks

"A four-year-old cat in Germany called Bonny has survived after being walled in beneath a bathtub for seven weeks, its owner said Tuesday.

'It's a miracle,' said Monika Hoppert, a 60-year-old widow from the western town of Stadthagen. 'I'm a strong believer, I think she must have had a guardian angel. I'm so happy.'" Reuters

I'm very happy for Monika, I have two cats, and I know how much the unexpected return of her kitty means to her. But it makes me chuckle when believers see the hand of God everywhere. The concept of guardian angels is difficult to swallow, but guardian angels for cats? Gimme a break!

According to the Reuters article Bonnie dropped from 13 pounds to 4 pounds, but all of you animal lovers will be glad to hear that she's almost back to normal.
