Eva Announces First Appearance at Brazilian Day and Special Party in New York

SAO PAULO, Brazil, Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Eva, one ofBrazil's top bands, will be participating in Brazilian Day for the first time. As one of the largest popular events inNew York and the largest Brazilian event outside the country, Brazilian Day, scheduled for Sunday, August 31, is expected to attract more than 1 million people over a 25-block area of the city.

Eva promises to put on a special performance of their greatest hits, and is poised to bring the spirit ofBrazil's "Carnaval" to the streets ofNew York. The band will be one of the major highlights of the event, which will also include performances by Lulu Santos and Jorge Ben Jor.

For the first time ever, the Brazilian Day festival will have an official party. Dubbed the 'After Party', it is a collaboration between Caco de Telha and Eva and Rede Globo TV network. Five hundred people will attend the party, including special guests and the general public, on the evening of August 31 at club SOB's (Sounds ofBrazil). Following the festivities in the streets of New York, people will have a chance to experience Brazilian music and culture up close when the band puts on a performance that will include a special selection of axe music in an intimate setting and an appearance by Brazilian DJ Agenor.
