EJL Wireless Research Reports Global Wireless Infrastructure Revenues for Top OEMs Grew 14.5% YoY in Q2 2008 to $13.8 Billion
NSN Reports Largest Year-Over-Year Revenue Growth at 38.3%

The global wireless BTS infrastructure
market revenues for the top OEMs grew by 14.5% for the second quarter of
2008 to $13.8 billion compared with the second quarter of 2007, according
to the latest report from EJL Wireless Research titled "Global Wireless OEM
Financial Results Q2 2008."
"The market experienced a growth quarter on a sequential basis of 9.9%, but
this was lower than Q2 2007 sequential growth of 17.6%," says founder and
President, Earl Lum. The report provides a unique perspective on the global
wireless infrastructure revenues for major wireless OEMs including
Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Motorola, Nokia Siemens Networks, Nortel
Networks, and ZTE.
"With three out of the six OEMs posting year-over-year revenue growth in
the first half of 2008 in local currencies, we continue to believe that
overall revenue growth for the industry may be more in the mid-single digit
range of 5-7% than flattish," says Lum. As Huawei Technologies is the only
company not represented in this financial analysis, we believe that the
results offer a realistic snapshot for the industry on how the overall
market is progressing for 2008.
The report is currently available for purchase and information can be
