Earth & Beyond: What Is Causing Earth's Climate Change?
CODY, Wyo., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The climate history of the earth is
discussed in depth as it pertains to the present in "Fire, Ice and Paradise"
(published by AuthorHouse -- http://www.authorhouse.com)
Leighton Steward, author of "Sugar Busters," is taking on a new challenge.
In his new book, "Fire, Ice and Paradise," he tells of how the earth was "born
in Fire, carved by global glaciations and now is enveloped in an
under-appreciated paradise of climate."
He has taken an educational approach to covering this subject, tries to
simplify it and urges the readers to come to their own conclusions as he
shares his own opinions on this difficult subject.
Eighteen causes of climate change are described. Many of them are known
because of what has happened in the distant past. Mr. Steward has written a
book that makes climate change easier to understand by not writing a
"detailed, highly referenced dissertation" that will leave the reader lost in
the details." Find out what recommendations he makes in "Fire, Ice and
Paradise."
By looking back at our ancestors' low-glycemic diet he wrote "Sugar
Busters" and it became a #1 bestseller that has revolutionized high-fiber, low
glycemic food availability. He has looked back this time at Earth's climate
history. His favorite Winston Churchill quote is, "The farther backward you
look, the farther forward you are likely to see." Join him.
Leighton Steward is a geologist who became a recognized environmentalist
and conservationist in the 1980's when he authored an educational booklet that
proposed ways to achieve "no net loss" of the nation's wetlands. His
recommendations were subsequently adopted by the governmental agencies.
He has a Master of Science Degree in Geology, has twice chaired the
Audubon Nature Institute and is currently the chairman of the Institute for
the study of Earth and Man at SMU. He is a former member of the Advisory
Board of the Lamon-Dougherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University and has
received numerous environmental awards, including the EPA's award for
environmental excellence and the API's Gold Medal Award for his company's
leadership in voluntary environmental practices.
