From award-winning filmmakers, Hunter Weeks and Josh Caldwell, (10 MPH, 2007) comes the hilarious, offbeat feature-length film about the world of fantasy football. "10 Yards: Fantasy Football" releases worldwide today, August 21, 2008. Two sites will host the unique online worldwide premiere: OurStage.com, a community supporting independent artists will offer a free iTunes download of the film for two weeks beginning August 21, 2008 (www.10yards.com/ourstage) while SnagFilms.com will stream the film for free and allow for viral sharing via its "virtual movie theater" widgets. The conventional nationwide DVD release will follow, September 30, 2008.

10 Yards captures the phenomenon of 20 million fantasy football fans with a specific focus on whacked-out j.fred's Intergalactic Championship League, where the top prize is a box of Twinkies.

While the filmmakers entertained traditional offers from distributors, Weeks and Caldwell have a reputation among filmmakers for successful DIY distribution. For "10 Yards: Fantasy Football", they've chosen a non-traditional distribution route with the support of Crocs Inc., Old Chicago, IZZE Sparkling Juice, Rock Bottom, Quiznos and OurStage.

The film includes interviews with current and former NFL players including Shannon Sharpe, 'Boomer' Esiason, Desmond Clark, Chester Taylor, Ryan Longwell, Jarrod Cooper, Bernard Berrian, Artose Pinner, Steve Beuerlein and Andrew Walter.

It features fantasy football leagues and footage from Lansing, Detroit, Oakland, Birmingham, San Diego, Raton, NM, Denver, Seattle, Washington DC, Philadelphia, New England's Gillette Stadium, Miami, Minneapolis and Concrete, WA.

In addition to hosting the online worldwide premiere of the film, OurStage will also offer free music downloads from the 10 Yards soundtrack featuring the following independent artists: Luke Brindley, John Haydon, Analog Jetpack, Greenland, Family Jewelers and Santa Clara.
