American Airlines Puts You on the Fast Track to Jamaica With New Nonstop Service From Chicago to Montego Bay


FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- As observers of the summer Olympic Games know,Jamaica is now home to the fastest man and woman in the world. Starting this January, American Airlines will offer a fast new way to get toJamaica -- nonstop service fromChicago.

American, a founding member of the global oneworld(R) Alliance, will begin nonstop flights fromChicago's O'Hare International Airport toMontego Bay, Jamaica, on Jan. 31, 2009. Though American has long servedMontego Bay, it will be the airline's first-ever nonstop flight there fromChicago.

American will operate one nonstop flight five days a week betweenChicago andMontego Bay, using Boeing 757 aircraft configured with 22 seats in First Class and 166 seats in the Main Cabin. Convenient connecting service in Chicago will makeMontego Bay easily accessible from other cities as well.

The newChicago nonstop is part of an expansion of American Airlines flights toMontego Bay that will begin in early November. On Nov. 2, American will increase its schedule betweenMiami andMontego Bay from two daily nonstop flights to three. On the same date, American will also increase its service betweenDallas/Fort Worth andMontego Bay from one weekly flight to five weekly, and then to daily service in mid-December.

American also servesMontego Bay from New York JFK. In addition, American operates service toKingston, Jamaica, with flights from bothMiami andFort Lauderdale. TheFort Lauderdale-Kingston service began earlier this year.
