Universal Energy Group Increases Penetration in Key Retail Energy Markets Through Acquisition

Through this acquisition Universal Energy Group's retail energy business, Universal Energy Corporation ("UEC"), has acquired approximately 22,000 RCEs on fixed term contracts. The average remaining life on the contract is 48 months. The total purchase price paid for the customer contracts is $2.5 million.

Mark Silver, CEO of UEC remarked "The acquisition of the WEG customer base is consistent with our strategy to deliver growth out of our existing markets. The customer acquisition costs are inline with our organic customer acquisition costs and the transaction will be immediately accretive to our financial results. We remain well positioned to capitalize on future opportunities of this nature."
