KPMG Forensic Launches Global Evidence Tracking System to Enchance Data Collection and Preservation Processes

  Share With Friends

NEW YORK, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, today announced the release of Global Evidence Tracking System 2.0 (GETS 2.0), designed to provide clients with a tailored approach to digital forensic evidence management.

GETS 2.0 helps clients track physical and logical evidence for investigation, litigation or regulatory projects -- from collection through the processing and production stages. It is designed to provide a consistent and systematic collation of digital evidence, preservation of processed data, and document the chain of custody for digital evidence. It also provides integrated evidence processing notifications and data handling specifications.

"GETS can help clients manage their e-discovery challenges on a global scale," said Kelli Brooks, a principal in the KPMG Forensic practice.

In addition, GETS 2.0 includes a task history feature that provides a detailed processing status and history of each item of evidence, including file counts and time stamps for each stage in the process for audit, metrics and productivity measurement. GETS 2.0 gives a transparent view of the whole body of evidence by tracking the stage of processing, who has worked on each piece of data, and when.

GETS 2.0 also allows clients to select the order in which evidence is processed, so that high-priority custodians or media are handled first, which can save time and money.
