T.G.I. Friday's(R) Restaurants Announce 'Friday's(R) Awesome BBQ Sweepstakes'

CARROLLTON, Texas, Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- T.G.I. Friday's restaurants today announced the "Friday's(R) Awesome BBQ Sweepstakes" (http://www.fridays.com/sweeps) with a Grand Prize that includes a trip for two to the 20th anniversary of the Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational Barbecue(TM) inLynchburg, Tenn.

T.G.I. Friday's restaurants are currently featuring Jack(TM) Championship BBQ sauce (http://www.prnewswire.com/mnr/fridays/34197/) on seven new menu items at its more than 600 U.S. restaurants. It is the actual sauce developed by Chad Hayden, last year's Grand Champion of the prestigious annual competition.

"We loved the Grand Champion's sauce from last year's competition so much we are featuring it on the T.G.I. Friday's menu," said Andrew Jordan, senior vice president of marketing for T.G.I. Friday'sUSA. "While our guests can experience the sauce from the world's greatest barbecue competition now at T.G.I. Friday's, one Grand Prize winner and a guest will experience the 20th anniversary event in person this October."

    The Grand Prize winner in "Friday's Awesome BBQ Sweepstakes" will receive:

    -- A trip for two to the Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational
       Barbecue(TM) in Lynchburg, Tennessee, October 24 & 25, 2008, including
       airfare, lodging, transportation and BBQ event expenses
    -- One-on-one time with Celebrity Chef and Food Dude Guy Fieri
    -- A personal tour of the Jack Daniel's(R) Distillery
    -- An expert Jack Daniel's(R) BBQ kit
    -- A $200 T.G.I. Friday's Restaurants Gift Card
    -- A year's worth of T.G.I. Friday's Frozen Snacks and Meals

Entrants in the sweepstakes may win instant prizes, including Jack Daniel's(R) caps/T-shirts, T.G.I. Friday's free appetizer and dessert certificates (with the purchase of an entree), T.G.I. Friday's Restaurants Gift Cards ($5/$10) or a year's worth of T.G.I. Friday's Frozen Snacks & Meals.

First-time entrants receive a coupon for Friday's Frozen Snacks. Prospective winners can enter daily through Sept. 30, 2008, when the promotion ends. The Grand Prize winner will be announced Oct. 7, 2008.
