SAVE THE DATE! AIDS Walk Michigan - Ann Arbor 2008

The HIV/AIDS Resource Center and the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan are once again joining forces in the fight against AIDS and asking members of the community to SAVE THE DATE - Sunday, September 21, 2008.

Make plans to join hundreds of walkers for a 5k walk through beautiful downtown Ann Arbor and feel good about supporting the many programs and services of both the HIV/AIDS Resource Center and the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan.

The event kicks off with FREE registration beginning at noon and the ribbon-cutting promptly at 1:00 p.m. The walk will take place rain or shine and most people can complete the walk between 45 and 90 minutes.

Walkers who raise $25 or more in donations will receive an AIDS Walk Michigan commemorative T-shirt and prizes will be awarded at the end of the walk for those who raise the most money and have the largest teams. Food, beverages and entertainment will also be part of this amazing afternoon that you will not want to miss!

This is a fun-filled, heart-warming day for kids, adults and pets! SAVE THE DATE and help us take ONE STEP TOWARD A SOLUTION to help children, women and men affected by HIV/AIDS. Newly released reports show that the number of people infected with HIV/AIDS each year in the U.S. is 40% higher than previously estimated. Your support and participation is needed!

To register individually, as a team or to volunteer for AIDS Walk Michigan, simply visit the website at www.aidswalkmichigan.org.

The HIV/AIDS Resource Center is the only comprehensive AIDS service organization providing compassionate HIV/AIDS prevention, education, outreach and direct care for people affected by HIV/AIDS in Washtenaw, Jackson, Livingston and Lenawee counties.
