The Thanksgiving Game(TM) Launched to Help Families Celebrate USA's Oldest Holiday
LEXINGTON, Ky., Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -. The Thanksgiving Game, Inc.
announces the launch of the first and only game on the market for
Thanksgiving.Lexington businessman Louie Stotz invented the game for his
family several years ago as they waited for late dinner guests to arrive. It
was an instant hit with Stotz's family, so much so that they have played it
every year since. The patent-pending game provides a means for celebrants to
start a new tradition while observing an old one.

Stotz had never considered doing anything more with the game until a
couple of Thanksgivings ago, when his son-in-law remarked that it should be
"shared with the world." Deciding he was right, Stotz enlisted that
son-in-law, Tim Lester, to transform his idea into a retail product. Lester
took the homemade version and developed it into a boxed game that is available
to consumers. More Americans celebrate Thanksgiving than any other holiday
including Christmas, with roughly 90% of the population taking part.
The game has received rave reviews, and early retail response has been
positive. Lester describes the game: "ThanksGiving, ThanksGuessing, and
ThanksSharing(TM) are the progressive phases. Participants reflect on their
blessings and fill out multiple game cards. Creativity and competitive
strategy are rewarded, and adventurous players can 'shoot the turkey' for
extra points. The game brings families, from 7 to 97-year-olds, closer
together and makes the season more relevant in a fun, new way. It focuses
attention on what Thanksgiving is all about -- realizing the many blessings
God has given all Americans, sharing them with loved ones, and doing it all in
an interactive, unique manner that would not be possible without playing The
Thanksgiving Game(TM)." Lester adds, "It's the perfect gift to take to the
host home but it really can be enjoyed any time of year, not just
Thanksgiving."
The game has a suggested retail price of $19.99, can be played by 3 to 20
players and is available on Amazon.com, in all Cracker Barrel Old Country
Stores throughout the U.S., select Kroger stores, Christian bookstores through
STL-Distribution.com, and other retailers. The Thanksgiving Game, Inc. was
founded in 2007 with the singular mission of sharing the game with families
across America.
