ASTRO Promotes Corporate Relations Staff, Hires Accounting ManagerJessica Brown has been promoted to development manager where she will be responsible for helping to meet the fundraising objectives of the Corporate Relations Department and the Radiation Oncology Institute. Ms. Brown has been with ASTRO for five years and has served in many capacities, during which she has managed the recruitment, retention and stewardship activities of ASTRO's corporate members, developed the Radiation Oncology Institute Web site and helped to secure nearly $750,000 in educational grants through her grant submissions. Erick Granados has been hired as accounting manager and brings eight years of accounting experience to the ASTRO staff. He will be responsible for the accounts payable and receivable functions of the Society, as well as for managing all non-dues invoices, bank statement reconciliations for ASTRO and affiliates, and all financial aspects for ASTRO PAC and the ROI. Mr. Granados holds an associate degree in accounting from Northern Virginia Community College. Before joining ASTRO, Mr. Granados served as senior accountant at Fleet Reserve Association in Alexandria, Va., as accounting manager at the International Association for Dental Research in Alexandria, Va., and began his accounting career at the American Bankers Association in Washington.
