Pushing The Limits of BaconBy Rocco "Boss Hog" Loosbrock
So you're asking what kind of help they wanted. Well, when they release this painting to the public, they wanted to display several items that we feature such as the bacon lunchbox, bacon wallet and of course the Bacon is Meat Candy T-shirt as a part of the display!
The Akron Art Institute first opened its doors in 1922 in the basement of the public library. The founders were ambitious and hoped to build a permanent home that would feature a collection of historical and modern art. From its humble beginnings the art museum has continued to grow and enrich the lives of many through its nationally recognized collection. Sandy has been at the forefront of contemporary art in the United States for the past two decades. She has continued to astonish audiences with her interesting and intriguing room-sized environments, many of which have human models or mannequins. If you have a fascination with food and art I highly encourage you to look into some of her artwork, especially SPIRITUALITY IN THE FLESH where she uses hamburger meat to cover up a room!
