NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of the American Association of
Airport Executives (AAAE) met inLouisville, Kentucky this week for the
inaugural NextGen Conference to discuss development of the next generation Air
Traffic Control systems. Among the speakers was Phillip Brodt, Chief

In his presentation, Brodt urged the NextGen industry representatives to
consider the unprecedented opportunities NextGen affords airport operators and
their facilities. "The applications being developed should not be limited
only to advancing flight navigation and air traffic management. The vision
needs to be expanded to include the needs of airport operators, who are making
billion-dollar decisions based on air traffic information. The technologies
being developed through NextGen could significantly help in passenger

management for airport facilities.
