Phillip Brodt of GCR & Associates, Inc. Provides Insight at AAAE NextGen Conference

NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) met inLouisville, Kentucky this week for the inaugural NextGen Conference to discuss development of the next generation Air Traffic Control systems. Among the speakers was Phillip Brodt, Chief Marketing Officer for GCR & Associates, Inc. ofNew Orleans.

In his presentation, Brodt urged the NextGen industry representatives to consider the unprecedented opportunities NextGen affords airport operators and their facilities. "The applications being developed should not be limited only to advancing flight navigation and air traffic management. The vision needs to be expanded to include the needs of airport operators, who are making billion-dollar decisions based on air traffic information. The technologies being developed through NextGen could significantly help in passenger operations and decision-making." Brodt stressed that an opportunity exists to strategically incorporate solutions for capacity, operations, and financial management for airport facilities.

Today, GCR's staff of over 100 employees provides intellectual and strategic planning support in aviation, professional and technology services. Clients include federal, state and nationwide municipal governments as well as corporations in a variety of industries.
