An Open Letter to Oil Analyst Craig Smith
By Larry
I heard on 1030 AM radio recently Dan Ray speaking with oil analyst Craig Smith. It was too late (8:55PM) to speak on the air, so I wanted to give Craig my feedback, directly.
In 1980, a Baptist Chaplin, Lindsey Williams wrote the book "The Energy Non-Crisis." It was very hard to get. My library in Newton, MA got it from an out-of-state library. It isn't ever readily available on eBay or books.com. He wrote three editions, with the last one (published in 1985) having a Foreword by the fired CEO of Atlantic Richfield.
The CEO let Chaplin Williams in on their Executive Board Meetings and able to freely see everything at the Oil pipeline.
One day, the CEO invited him to see a burn on Gull Island. Afterwards, he told the Chaplin that America is NOW Energy Independent! The following day he said that the Government told them to cap the well and not to disclose it to the American public. Allegedly, Gull Is. has 1/4 the oil in the entire world.
Also, at the Alaskan pipeline, the Oil Companies are forced to pump back into the ground all the gas coming up (also, they cannot burn-off the gas). This and other unnecessary regulations have lead to the $10 Billion cost overruns on the $2 Billion project.
Has the Government and/or the Oil Companies bought up most of these books so they are covering up the true story? I know it's 23 years since he wrote his book, but no one is even mentioning his facts and details. I didn't hear Craig's entire interview so I don't know if he spoke of his book. Is this a conspiracy? What gives?
