Los Angeles Jewish Home Selects Community Volunteer David Swartz as its Board of Directors' Chair

Swartz, who succeeds Arthur A. Greenberg in the Home's top volunteer leadership spot, performs accounting, auditing and business advisory services at Good Swartz Brown & Berns, a Division of JH Cohn LLP, and is the immediate past managing partner of the firm. He has over 35 years of experience providing business advisory services to clients in several industries, including manufacturing, wholesale, retail, entertainment, real estate and professional services.

"This is a time of exciting growth and change for the Home as we expand our services, programs and facilities to serve a much wider portion of the community beyond those who reside on our two wonderful campuses," Swartz said. "In a time of unprecedented growth in our senior population, it is vitally important for the society at large to work with the Home to develop innovative ways of improving the quality of life for this area's seniors."

Swartz will be actively involved in some of the Home's newest businesses, including Skirball Hospice and the Annenberg School of Nursing. "These are some of the finest programs of their kind inthe United States," he said.

Goldfein was a co-founder, president and chief executive officer of Interstate Consolidation, aLos Angeles-based transportation and logistics company. Gluchow currently owns Valley Motor Center inVan Nuys. Rodin is the chairman and CEO of RDN Group, strategic advisors focused on corporate transitions, customer interface, sales and marketing, distribution, and supply chain management.
