Pyramind Announces FREE July Music Industry Seminar
Pyramind, the leading independently-owned and operated audio production and training facility on the westcoast, announces another FREE "Planning for Success" seminar, July 30th, 2008, with Kelli Richards, President and CEO of The All Access Group, a digital music consultancy. Kelli is a twenty-five year veteran of the music industry, and a recognized leader and early pioneer in the digital music world, holding positions as a former A&R exec at EMI, ten years with Apple in charge of music initiatives, and Patronet, the first online artist subscription service in the mid-1990's, co-developed with Todd Rundgren. She's also co-author of The Art of Digital Music (book/DVD).
Pyramind's monthly guest lecture series, "Planning for Success," is focused on entrepreneurship and success stories in the music industry. Each month a different guest is invited to speak about their unique music industry career path and what lead them to where they are today. "Planning for Success" is designed to show the many facets of the music business, including composing, recording, technology, production, marketing, and distribution, and provide a networking opportunity for all participants. This FREE community service is open to the public and a requirement for all Pyramind students.
Kelli's All Access Group provides strategic counsel in the digital world, introductions to key influencers and decision makers in entertainment and technology - and an integrated approach to business development, marketing and PR strategy, and event management. Kelli's clients include composer Alan Howarth, whose music has appeared in iconic horror and science fiction movies, Halloween, Poltergeist, Star Trek, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Dracula, Total Recall and Hunt for Red October, and a wide range of innovative, forward-thinking companies specializing in digital content distribution, mobile music, and online entertainment.
Kelli has worked with a diverse list of established artists throughout her career. Her connections with them run broad and deep. She's tireless in working with disruptive technologies and emerging business models that will afford artists new ways to get their music out to a wider global audience and to ensure they are monetizing their brand and assets fully. She was an early visionary in 'artist 360' models where artists are at the center of the wheel, and has been heavily focused on "concert of the future" models and technologies given the growing importance of touring to mainstream artists. Visit her site for more info at www.allaccessgroup.com.
This is a rare opportunity to hear one of the digital entertainment industry's leading pioneers talk about her career and what awaits musicians in the 21st Century. Kelli is a sought-after speaker at global digital music and media conferences, and is a NARAS Board of Governor (San Francisco Chapter). This is an educational and music career advancement event that is not to be missed.
