Polarion Software Inc., creators of fully integrated application lifecycle management solutions and Subversion services, today announced Polarion Subversive has reached an unprecedented milestone.

CARY, N.C. (EWORLDWIRE) Jul 24, 2008

Polarion Software Inc., creators of fully integrated application lifecycle management solutions and Subversion services, today announced Polarion Subversive, the official Eclipse plug-in for Subversion, has reached an unprecedented mile-stone in the total number of downloads since its availability as part of Eclipse Foundation's Ganymede Simultaneous release less than a month ago.

"Polarion Subversive marks the first Subversion integration that is tightly integrated as part of the Eclipse Project. To have such a huge number of users downloading Subversive is a great testimonial of the benefits that Polarion provides to the Eclipse Community," said, Michael Carey, CEO at Polarion. "At the current pace, we expect the Subversive user base of 300,000 to surpass one million over the next ten months. We are glad to be able to provide a tool that the Eclipse community has embraced and we will continue to support the open source community with development efforts."

"After evaluating several alternatives and talking to developers in the Eclipse open source community, we reached the conclusion that Subversive is the most suitable solution for us," said Yaron Mazor, lead developer for Zend.

"For Eclipse.org to include Polarion Subversive as part of the Ganymede Simultaneous release is a great indication of how well-designed the product is. We also leverage Subversive with Polarion's ALM products to manage our whole development cycle from requirements management through testing, and all work seamlessly with our Eclipse environment," said Sergiy Logvin, technical director of Dreamlight.

Polarion, the Subversive project team, and the Eclipse community of Subversive contributors will continue its development efforts to deliver new features and improvements based on feedback of users. The next Subversive update is scheduled for the Fall of 2008. Subversive can be downloaded at 'http://www.eclipse.org'.
