CAPS Calls for U.S. Attorney to Prosecute San Francisco Triple Murder Case

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., July 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS) President Diana Hull called today for the U.S. Attorney's Office inSan Francisco to take over the triple homicide case allegedly committed by illegal alien MS13 gang member Edwin Ramos. In a letter to US Attorney Joseph Russoniello, Hull describedSan Francisco as repeatedly irresponsible and urged the federal government to prosecute the triple murder suspect.

Wednesday, Edwin Ramos pled not guilty to charges of murderingSan Francisco residents Tony Bologna and his two sons, Michael and Mathew near their home on June 22nd.

"There aren't enough words to describe this horror and the incompetence and sanctimony that led to it," Hull said. "On the other hand, it doesn't take a lot of words. TheCity of San Francisco's so-called sanctuary policy has led to the shielding of convicted drug pushers and violent offenders, and now a possible triple murder by somebody who should have been deported from our country years ago."

"TheCity of San Francisco has defied federal law and shielded illegal alien perpetrators who have made citizens and legal residents their prey." Hull continued. "The federal government must now step in and prosecute this case to ensure that this never happens again. But nothing can compensate the Bologna family for the loss of a husband and two children. If found guilty of this heinous crime, the perpetrator should be given the maximum sentence under the law.

"In addition to justice for the Bologna family, which can never compensate them adequately for this outrage, we must make sure that an avoidable tragedy like this one never happens again. And we need to remember always that a death-dealing policy like 'sanctuary' hides behind the false mantle of compassion. All so-called sanctuary cities should pay close attention to this case and understand the damage and destruction that results from their misguided and naively lethal posturing when they defy our nation's immigration laws."
