Mindy Kaling of NBC's 'The Office' Joins Fans in Scranton for Some Dunder Mifflin Fun
SCRANTON, Pa., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Schrute bucks? Dundie? Grilled
feet and beet farms? If you know what these things have in common you should
join the hundreds of fans gathering today inScranton, PA as Mindy Kaling of
NBC's "The Office" officiates a day of Dunder Mifflin fun to celebrate
Scranton becoming the first city to offer the new The Office DVD Board Game
and The Office Trivia Game. Mindy Kaling is a writer, co-executive producer
and actress known as the chatty Kelly Kapoor on "The Office."

The Office Games begin 9:00 a.m. ET. All events take place in and around
the Mall at Steamtown inScranton, PA.
"Scranton and our residents have opened up our hearts to Mindy," Mayor
Christopher Doherty expresses. "The beet red carpet is down and we are ready
to go. Mindy is like an honoraryScranton resident and we welcome her home
for these exciting events."
A 2K Fun Run kicks off the day's events with participants wearing business
attire and vying for a chance to be named Best Dressed and Best Office
Character Look-a-Like. Avid fans will then go head-to-head in a Trivia
Challenge to separate the Assistant to the Regional Managers from the Regional
Managers.
"Scranton is definitely the place to be on this day," says Kaling.
The day's highlight could come during the Beet Eating Contest, as Kaling
is rumored to compete personally, showing a side of chatty Kelly Kapoor few
folks have ever seen.
Winners from all of the day's events will be awarded a coveted Dwight
Bobble Head trophy.
Among those officiating the events, which take place in and around the
Mall at Steamtown, areScranton Mayor Doherty, State Representative Frank
Shimkus, WBRE-TV personalities Candice Kelly, Doug Currin and Kristi Capel and
Magic 93 Morning Personality, Frankie Warren.
The Office Games will raise funds for United Neighborhood Centers of
Northeastern Pennsylvania (UNC), aScranton-based charity that provides
services and creates opportunities which empower individuals and builds strong
interdependent communities throughoutNortheastern Pennsylvania.
Once the beets are eaten and the contestants are washed up, the first 125
people who purchased The Office DVD Board Game or The Office Trivia Game today
at Boscov's at the Mall at Steamtown will meet Mindy, who will also autograph
their game.

show knowledge to the test. Players go head-to-head answering trivia
questions based on video clips, images and facts from "The Office" using their
DVD remote control and moving around the game board. Trivia Spaces test

around the office walking cubicle to cubicle answering trivia questions and
visiting favorite Dunder Mifflin characters' cubes. They must beware of
Scranton Regional Manager Michael Scott showing up on the game die and moving
into their cubicle -- players must answer a trivia question about the socially
awkward boss before they can move on. The player who successfully gets through
all the locations and collects the all-important "Support the Rabid" wristband
