Agent Brings Lifetime of Service to ek Real Estate Group
'Loyalty-Based' Company Welcomes Nellie Fujii Anderson

ek Real Estate Group is pleased to announce
that Associate Broker Nellie Fujii Anderson has joined its company.
Anderson, a well-known and respected member of various communities
throughout the Puget Sound area, brings a lifelong record of dedicated
service to local causes, ranging from disadvantaged youth and the elderly,
to the environment, to Seattle's Asian-American community.
"Nellie's lifetime of community service has earned her a reputation of
trust," says Edward Krigsman, President and CEO of the residential real
estate firm. "Nellie generates customer loyalty through service. Bringing
her onto our team expresses our mandate of building a loyalty-based company
like those described by Fred Reichheld in The Ultimate Question. We garner
loyalty by focusing resources on improving each customer's experience.
Nellie has a history of learning what is most valuable to her clients and
then devoting herself to helping them achieve their goals."
Anderson launched her real estate career two-and-a-half years ago when she
joined Windermere's Mercer Island office after running her own marketing
consulting firm for 20 years. Her interest in real estate stems from the
significant role that property ownership has played in her family history.
"The 1920 Alien Land Act prohibited Japanese nationals from owning or
leasing land in America," she explains. "My father was the first in our
family to own property and he became a successful real estate investor.
Through him, I gained a special appreciation for the right of all citizens
to be able to own property."
What drew her to ek Real Estate Group, Anderson says, was "their vision for
doing things differently. People work together as a team to create a
wonderful experience for each client. They also incorporate new
technologies to build strong support systems so that I'm free to spend more
time helping my clients directly."
Anderson helped grow Chinatown's International District Summer Fair from
its early years to the successful part it plays today in Seattle's annual
Seafair celebration. A recipient of the "Unsung Hero" award from the
Japanese American Citizens League, the nation's largest and oldest
Asian-American civil rights organization, Anderson has also been recognized
by the Northwest Asian Weekly newspaper for her community service. She has
worked with YWCA's Help Homeless Children, Campfire Boys and Girls, and the
National Association of Community Leadership, among numerous other causes.
Anderson graduated magna cum laude from the University of Washington, where
she earned bachelor's and master's degrees in communications. A TV news
writer for a local CBS affiliate early in her career, she was one of only
four in the country at the time to receive the National Association of
Broadcasters Graduate Fellowship.
