Thompson and King to Appropriators: Do Not Reprogram Funds Meant for Nation's Ports
WASHINGTON, July 18 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) and Ranking Member Peter T. King (R-NY) sent a letter to Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security Chairman David Price (D-NC) and Ranking Member Harold Rogers (R-KY) expressing opposition to the Transportation Security Administration's proposal to reprogram funds meant for ports participating in the reader pilots for the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
