LES Announces New General Counsel


EUNICE, N.M., July 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Louisiana Energy Services (LES) President and CEO Reinhard Hinterreither today announced the appointment of Perry D. Robinson as General Counsel and Secretary to the Board of Managers for LES. LES is building and will operate the National Enrichment Facility nearEunice, New Mexico.

Robinson was a partner in the Business and Finance Department at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP and previously a partner at Winston & Strawn in Washington, D.C. He represented clients before federal and state agencies on a broad range of energy matters and routinely counseled clients on the interpretation of rules and regulations of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Department of Energy, and state public utility commissions. Prior to practicing law, Robinson served on the enforcement and licensing staff of the NRC from 1982 - 1987; worked on the technical staff of Battelle Memorial Institute - Pacific Northwest Laboratories from 1981-1982; and was part of the research staff at the Radiation Research Section, Department of the Army from 1976 - 1981.

Mr. Robinson is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute with a bachelor of science degree, Rutgers University with a master of science and the University of Baltimore with a Juris Doctor degree. He is admitted to the bar in theDistrict of Columbia andMaryland and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for theDistrict of Columbia.

LES is a U.S. limited partnership, formed to license, construct, and operate the National Enrichment Facility. The facility will provide close to 300 full time and contract jobs and more than 600 multi-year construction jobs in southeasternNew Mexico. Upon completion, it will provide a secure domestic enrichment supply source to U.S. nuclear energy companies that provide 20% of the electricity used inthe United States.
