4th of July Weekend Box Office Results

The weekend of Independence Day belongs to Big Willie once again. His new movie, Hancock, about a deeply flawed, homeless, reluctant superhero with amnesia, is number one -- raking $62.5 million at the box office. So far, it has taken $185 million worldwide.

WALL-E, last week's champ; fell to second with $32.5 million with a total of $127 million. Besides the arrival of twins, who are honorary members of Nice in Southern France, two of Angelina Jolie's films are in the top five. She's still Wanted at number three with $20 million, and finishing it up with Kung Fu Panda at $7.3 million.

In the middle of this Angelina box office sandwich is Get Smart, the remake of the classic 1960s television spy spoof with Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, as number four with $11.1 million and is almost hitting the latest summer film hitting the $100-million mark.
