ABBA Makes A Rare Public Appearance
By Robert Paul Reyes
Rock and Roll is a young man's game, and there is no sight more pathetic than a bunch of geezers reuniting for filthy lucre and one more chance under the spotlight.
The Rolling Stones are the only vintage rock group that can get away performing decades past their prime. Sure they look terrible, but they have always looked like death warmed over.
I'm glad the Beatles never reunited, we remember them as young, vital, and at the top of their game.
"All four members of supergroup ABBA appeared together on Friday at the Swedish premiere of the film 'Mamma Mia!', delighting fans with their first public showing for years.
Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad -- known as Frida -- and Agnetha Faltskog walked down the red carpet at a Stockholm movie theatre to the cheers of several thousand fans."

I'm glad that ABBA never got together again, reportedly they even turned down an offer of $1 billion to reunite for a concert tour.
Unlike the Beatles or the Rolling Stones, ABBA didn't produce great music and they didn't revolutionize society. But they were fun, campy and you could really shake your groove thang to their disco records. And the middle-aged ABBA members wouldn't look good today in their patent skin-tight outfits.
We have only good memories of ABBA, witness the hordes in Europe who are turning out to see "Mama Mia", the musical based on their music.
