German Man Gets Head From Hitler

"A man tore the head off a controversial Adolf Hitler wax figure at Madame Tussauds' new branch in Berlin on its opening day Saturday, officials said.

The man pushed aside the two museum employees and "ripped off the head of the Hitler figure," police spokesman Uwe Kozelnik said on n-tv television."

The wax museum wasn't seeking to glorify Hitler, these type of museums have figures representing celebrities, historical figures and even serial killers.

I can understand why someone would object to a wax figure of Hitler, but there are better ways to protest: Letter to the editor or a boycott of the museum.

People who feel that only they know what is best for society don't care who they hurt in achieving their goals. This brute pushed aside two museum employees, they could have suffered serious injuries.

The man's rash act was not only selfish and violent, but counterproductive. The Hitler wax figure will be repaired and put back on display, and the publicity will only ensure that more people will see it.
