BAGHDAD - Maj. Gen. Jeffery Hammond (left), a Hattiesburg, Miss., native, and commanding general of Multi-National Division - Baghdad and the 4th Infantry Division, speaks with Family and friends of Maj. Ty Bonner, chief of operations, MND-B, via video-teleconference June 27. Bonner, a native of Shamrock, Texas, was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel during the ceremony. Also participating in the ceremony via Video Teleconferencing were his wife, Kimberly, his son, Tristan, his daughter, Alexandra, and his wife's parents, Kenneth and Kay Martindale, who are also from Shamrock. Bonner graduated from Samnorwood High School in 1986 before heading on to Texas Tech University, where he earned honors as a Distinguished Military Graduate in 1991. He later earned a Master's Degree in Human Resources Development with Webster University with in 2002. His parents, Dean and Betty Bonner of Shamrock, reside in Shamrock, Texas.
