Washington Area Hosts Afghanistan Athletes

MCLEAN, Va., July 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Afghan Sports Federation is holding its 11th annual 4th of July sporting and cultural events starting Thursday July 3rd thru Saturday July 5th in theWashington Metro Area.

The events include soccer matches, women's volleyball, men's volleyball, women's basketball, men's basketball, girls soccer, boys soccer, a concert by young Afghan artists as well as other cultural and community themed events.

Teams from the Afghan-American communities inNew York, New Jersey, California, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, as well asCanada and individual players fromEurope,Asia,Afghanistan and the rest of the World will join ASF for these games.
