Freedom Alliance Visits Troops in Northwest United States
Last week, Freedom Alliance hosted three Troop Appreciation Dinners for soldiers stationed in the Northwestern United States. Soldiers and their families based at Fort Lewis in Washington, Fort Wainwright and Fort Richardson in Alaska, were honored by Freedom Alliance for their service and dedication. These dinners were held to say "thank you" to the soldiers to give them a night of relaxation and fun.
"Events such as these," explained Freedom Alliance President Tom Kilgannon, "are a way for us to say thank you to the troops for their service in our armed forces, the dedication they bring to their jobs, and the honor with which they serve our nation."
Each event was unique and memorable for those in attendance. The troops at Fort Lewis enjoyed a great meal at Ruth's Chris Steak House. The soldiers from Fort Wainwright enjoyed freshly caught Halibut and Salmon at Pike's Landing in Fairbanks, Alaska. The final event was held for troops from Fort Richardson who were joined by Kristin Hamerski, Miss Alaska 2008, at Sullivan's Steakhouse in Anchorage, Alaska.
Sponsoring the Troop Appreciation Dinners with Freedom Alliance was TriWest Healthcare Alliance. TriWest Healthcare partners with the Department of Defense to do "Whatever It Takes" to support the health care needs of 2.9 million members of America's military family.
