IBM Podcast Explores the Future of Movies

As the summer blockbuster movie season enters full swing, IBM (NYSE: IBM) explores the "Future of Movies," a podcast with Yair Landau, former President of Sony Pictures Digital and Saul Berman, Global Strategy Leader for IBM's Media & Entertainment Practice, hosted by Tim Washer. With technology enabling consumer demand for more customization on how they enjoy entertainment, the movie studios must adapt and content providers must adjust to new web-based distribution channels such as YouTube.

Separately, looking further into the future of movies, five of IBM's top scientists recently met with students and alumni of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, along with Hollywood filmmakers, to "Imagine the World in 2050." Highlights from the evening are available on YouTube.
