Stroz Friedberg Achieves Certification as a Qualified Security Assessor by the PCI Security Standards Council
NEW YORK, July 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Stroz Friedberg, a leading consulting and
technical services firm, announced today that it has been certified as a
Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) by the Payment Cards Industry (PCI) Security
Standards Council. The PCI Security Standards Council creates comprehensive
requirements for enhancing payment account data security that includes
security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software
design and other critical protective measures designed to help organizations
proactively protect customer account data. Qualified Security Assessors must
be pre-qualified, and are then required to take rigorous training and testing
to be certified to provide PCI data security assessments.
QSA certification authorizes Stroz Friedberg to assess an organization's
compliance with the requirements of the PCI Data Security Standards (DSS).
Banks, merchants, credit card processors, hosting providers and other
companies that store, process or transmit cardholder data are required by the
credit card issuers to be compliant with the PCI DSS. Stroz Friedberg adds QSA
audit services to the post-assessment evaluation services it has been
providing to multi-national and leading companies throughoutthe United
States.
