USDA Holds Chesapeake Bay Listening Session

The Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of
2008 (2008 Farm Bill) contains new funding for conservation program
assistance targeted for the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, utilizing established
conservation programs and practices.
On Monday, July 14, USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service will hold
a public listening session on the Chesapeake Bay provisions of the 2008
Farm Bill. Stakeholders and the public are encouraged to bring their ideas
about practices, programs, and geographic areas they see as priorities
under these provisions. The session begins at 10:00 a.m. in the Lowes
Annapolis Hotel, Ballrooms A&B. The hotel's address is 126 West Street,
