KITS to Release J2EE Solutions That Extends IBM Lotus Sametime(TM) to Land Mobile Radios

ROUND ROCK, Texas, July 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Knowledgeable & Innovative Technical Solutions (dba KITS), Inc. has announced plans to release RadioConnect(TM), an IBM Lotus Sametime plug-in that will extend IBM's Unified Communications (UC) tool set to Land Mobile Radios (LMR's), in late-September. Sametime customers with LMR user base needs will soon benefit from the ability to integrate their entire communications enterprise, and collaborate via this new capability.

Powered by Twisted Pair Solutions' WAVE(TM) technology, KITS is building out this and other J2EE based solutions that enable an enterprise comprised of traditionally disparate communications systems (i.e. radios, analog and new IP phone systems, PCs, PDAs and proprietary devices) to interoperate seamlessly. This approach to interoperability allows organizations to leverage previous investments for an affordable UC solution that will reduce operating costs and increase productivity and efficiency. KITS has WAVE certified integration engineers (CIEs) and sales engineers (CSEs) ready to assist with the assessment and deployment of this capability in an entities operational environment.

Unified Communications and Voice Interoperability Solutions KITS is actively working to extend capabilities in the emerging unified communications (UC) market. Gartner describes this emerging market as a means to "offer the ability to improve how individuals, groups and companies interact and perform tasks. Companies should review how the new generation of communication systems can improve their business operations and processes." (Bern Elliot, "Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications, 2007", Gartner, 20 August 2007, Gartner RAS Core Research Note G00150273)

By utilizing WAVE 4.0, the latest version of Twisted Pair Solution's industry-leading unified communications software, KITS can provide additional interoperability solutions by integrating traditional Land Mobile Radio (LMR) communications into Microsoft-based unified communications tools and Nortel IP telephony solutions.
