Martin Luther King Was a Republican

Black Republican Group Continues MLK Billboard Campaign In Florida

"Our aim is to recapture the stellar civil rights record of the Republican Party," said the chairman of the National Back Republican Association (NBRA), Frances Rice, "because it is past time that we set the record straight." Rice stated that the billboard campaign highlighting the fact that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican captures the imagination and inspires people to visit the website of the National Black Republican Association for addition information.

According to Rice, billboards have already been put up in Charlotte, Sarasota, Manatee, Pinellas, Hillsborough and Highlands counties in Florida. The MLK billboard campaign is part of a comprehensive voter education campaign that includes putting up MLK yard signs, distributing MLK bumper stickers, mailing a newsletter to the homes of black Americans and airing radio ads exposing Senator Barack Obama as a far left-wing radical who should not be our president.

"We are making great strides with recapturing the Republican Party's civil rights heritage," Rice said, "and exposing the racist past of the Democratic Party."

Details of the Democratic Party civil rights history can be found on the NBRA website at: www.NBRA.info
