The World Is a Stage... at Global Fusion Festival

Presented by the Philadelphia Multicultural Affairs Congress, and Part of the PECO Multicultural Series

The Philadelphia Multicultural Affairs Congress (MAC), a division of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, is proud to produce the 2nd Annual Global Fusion Festival. This FREE, one-day event will be held on Saturday, July 19th from Noon to 8 p.m. Through a collaboration with Radio-One Philadelphia, this year's festival will be hosted by 107.9 WRNB's nationally syndicated host Tom Joyner of the "Tom Joyner Morning Show." The "Tom Joyner Morning Show" is beamed into over 95 radio stations across the country each weekday, resulting in over 10 million listeners nationwide.

The festival, themed "Global Fusion," will feature national recording artists and acts representing our local African American, Hispanic, Asian and Native American cultures through music and ethnic dance performances, foods, crafts, giveaways and educational programs for participants of all ages.

"We are excited about the opportunity to bring Tom Joyner, one of the most powerful voices in the radio industry, to Philadelphia to host the 2nd Annual Global Fusion Festival," states MAC executive director Tanya Hall. This free event, presented by PECO and the Philadelphia Multicultural Affairs Congress, is showcasing the cultures they promote. The Philadelphia Multicultural Affairs Congress (MAC), a division of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, was formed in 1987 as the first multicultural division of a Convention & Visitors Bureau in the nation. MAC maximizes opportunities for the region by promoting Philadelphia as an ethnically diverse visitor destination, encouraging multicultural business and social responsibility that contributes to and benefits from the varying multicultural communities that enhance our region's hospitality and tourism industry.
