LiveNation's contract with Ticketmaster will end this
year; already, Live Nation has demonstrated its ability to succeed without
Ticketmaster. Last week, LiveNation maintained its position in second place
for the fourth consecutive week with a power score of 8.48, surpassing
StubHub in the rankings.
Over the past year, Live Nation has signed contracts with high-profile
artists. This week, Colombian singer Shakira, one of the best-selling
international artists in the world, announced she would sign a contract with the Live Nation. As this contract
covers touring, Live Nation will break into the Latin and South American
markets. LiveNation has also formed deals with Madonna and Jay-Z. As a result of these contracts, the gap between
Live Nation and Ticketmaster is expected to get smaller.

TicketLiquidator maintained their positions in second and third places,
