Roman Endeavors Offers Notary Signing Agent Seminar

After a two-year hiatus, Illinois notaries can
once again access professional training. Roman Endeavors, Inc., a local
professional services firm, has an upcoming training seminar for Illinois
notaries public. This course, being held on July 19, 2008, will train a
Notary Public to effectively perform the job of a Notary Signing Agent.
"The downturn in the housing market forced us to stop offering the course,
as there wasn't enough work for the notaries that were already in the
industry," said Desiree Roman, president of Roman Endeavor, Inc. "Recent
efforts to assist homeowners avoid foreclosure have been successful,
resulting in an increase of work for Notary Signing Agents. However, we
are experiencing a shortage of trained notaries, as many of them left the
industry over the past two years. The demand for trained, professional
Notary Signing Agents for the residential mortgage industry has returned."
The training seminar will review the mortgage loan process, document
signing procedures, lender and borrower expectations, and how the notary
fits into the loan process. Participants of this course will be presented
with job opportunities and provided with resources and references to assist
in managing their (newfound) career.
The all day seminar begins at 9am with a networking continental breakfast
followed by the program schedule, which includes an interactive lecture, a
mock loan closing and comprehensive seminar materials. The training will
conclude with a Q&A session.
Early registration (paid by July 6) is $99. Standard registration (paid by
July 13) is $125. Late registration is accepted until July 17. Space is
limited, so register early. To register, please visit

For current notaries who want a refresher course or who need to learn how

seminars will be scheduled for later in the year. For those interested in
becoming an Illinois Notary Public, a free workshop will be offered
sometime in October. For more information, visit www.notarychicago.com.
