Christian Leaders Make a Stand to Brokeback Colorado Law
By Garrett Godwin
A press conference was being held this morning at the Denver Tech Center Marriott. Christian leaders in this event features state Representative Kevin Lundberg, Liberty Counsel founder/chairman Matthew Staver; America ATL Action and former Colorado GOP chairman Steve Curtis, and nationally syndicated talk show hostess Janet Folger.
"American ATL Action", Curtis states, "is a political 527 group headquarted a half-block from the Colorado capitol, and we're not going to hire someone cohabitating outside of marriage, let alone a homosexual."
The purpose behind the press conference is to oppose Colorado's new censorship law, SB 200, which, according to Curtis, "makes it a crime" to "publish biblical teaching on immorality". Curtis and these leaders are ready "and prepared to violate this anti-Christian government censorship."
"Section 8 [of SB200], Rev. Lundberg said, "Is a wide open door for any judge to censor anything that condemns homosexuality, including Scripture."
