Lifetime Television Posts Most-Watched Second Quarter Since 2005 Among P2+, W18-49, W25-54 and P25-54 in Prime and Total Day
NEW YORK, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Fueled by 'Army Wives', the #1 cable
drama for women, 'The Memory Keeper's Daughter', its most-watched original
movie since 1995, and the 'The Tenth Circle' (which averaged more than three
million viewers), Lifetime Television posted its largest Second Quarter
audience since 2005 among P2+, W18-49, W25-54 and P25-54 in prime and total
day.
In June, Lifetime raced past more than 70 basic cable networks to finish
third in prime household ratings. The #1 women's channel also registered its
most-watched June in history among prime W18-24 as well as the most-watched
June among prime W18-49 since 2003.
Since its second season premiere, 'Army Wives' has reached more than 34
million viewers while ranking #1 among W18-34, W18-49, W25-54 and P18-49.
This past Sunday, June 29, marked the fourth consecutive Sunday 'Army
Wives' has ranked #1 in prime among W18-34, W18-49, W25-54 and W18+. Once
again, the series out-rated the broadcast networks among W18-34.
Sister network Lifetime Movie Network continued its ratings rampage,
scoring its 10th straight month of viewership gains, the most in the channel's
10-year history. In Second Quarter, Lifetime Movie Network was up 40 percent
in prime households, 50 percent in W18-34 and 33 percent in W18-49.
It was also the most-watched June ever for LMN among households, P2+ and
W18+.
Online, Lifetime Digital's web properties (myLifetime.com, LMN.tv and
DressUpChallenge.com) experienced a 79 percent increase in page views over the
prior month (vs. May '08) and a 102 percent increase year-to-year (vs. June
'07).
