Eurotech Inc. Completes Successful Merger and Presents Executive Team
COLUMBIA, Md. andOVERLAND PARK, Kan., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Eurotech
Inc., a leading provider of application-ready embedded computer systems for
low power and high performance applications, today announces the completion of
the merger of Applied Data Systems and Arcom. Eurotech also presents the
executive management team for the company, drawing top talent from multiple
areas of the organization to lead the company to new growth opportunities.
This announcement is the culmination of careful succession planning to ensure
continuity of Eurotech Inc.'s strategy and day-to-day operations and to move
the company to a new level of success.
Robert Olsen, Chairman -- Formerly the president and CEO of Applied Data
Systems, Bob Olsen grew that organization from a handful of employees to over
100 personnel worldwide at the time of the acquisition by Eurotech Group in
2006. As Chairman, Olsen uses his leadership, consensus- building, and focus
strengths to guide the executive team and offer his strategic vision for the
company.
Greg Nicoloso, CEO -- Greg Nicoloso joined Eurotech Group in 2007 from
SIM2 Multimedia, the Italian consumer electronics manufacturer, where he
managed the North American operations for the company. Nicoloso's experience
and understanding of the business cultures inItaly andNorth America provide
a unique perspective on the operations of the organization. Nicoloso's skills
in strategy, business, operations, marketing, and sales offer an excellent
basis for him to lead Eurotech Inc. as CEO.
Arlen Nipper, President and CTO -- Arlen Nipper formerly was the president
of Arcom Controls, which was acquired by the Eurotech Group in early 2006.
Nipper's decades of experience in the embedded industry give him an
unparalleled depth of knowledge about the problems OEM customers face in
bringing long-life products quickly to market and the solutions Eurotech Inc.
offers to remedy those issues. Nipper has a distinctive ability to provide
technology vision in a way that translates to embedded systems and software
that meets market requirements.
Chris Houghton, COO -- Chris Houghton has 20 years of experience in the
industrial controls industry, with a focus on oil and gas pipeline and was
formerly the CEO for the US and UK branches of Arcom. As COO for Eurotech
Inc., Houghton runs the operations, engineering, research and development, and
customer support functions of the Eurotech Inc. organization with locations in
the US andAsia, including worldwide coordination and oversight of contract
manufacturing facilities.
Sebastian Bain, CFO -- Sebastian Bain joined Arcom Controls in 1982 as
Financial Director. Prior to the acquisition by Eurotech Group, Bain managed
all financial aspects for the publicly traded corporate parent. As CFO for
Eurotech Inc., Bain remains focused on managing the financial risk for the
organization with additional responsibility for presenting financial results
to Eurotech Group.
