Thousands of quality antiques and unique collectibles, all for sale, will be featured at the 34th Annual Truckee Antiques Show July 18, 19 and 20 at Truckee High School on Donner Pass Road in Truckee.

Because of the long-standing reputation of this Show for strong support from collectors, over fifty exhibitors from nine states, including California, Idaho, Missouri, Nebraska, Oregon, Nevada, Tennessee, Utah and Washington, will take part in this year's event.

Known by loyal antique enthusiasts as the largest, finest show in the Cal Neva Area, shoppers will discover a wide variety of merchandise, including turn-of-the-century oak and walnut furnishings, lighting fixtures, kitchen and country primitives, Victorian colored and art glass, American art pottery, sterling silver and silverplate flatware and holloware, estate and costume jewelry, watches, fine porcelains and china, toys and dolls, American folk art, paper collectibles (including prints, maps, magazines and books) as well as slot machines and gambling related items.

Originally founded in 1974 by the Truckee Wolverine Boosters Club, the Show continues to raise money for Truckee High School's scholarship, academic and sports programs. Beginning with this year's event, the Show will be promoted by Twin Bridges Antique Productions, promoters of quality antiques shows throughout California and Southern Oregon since 1982. The Show was promoted for thirty-three years by Walter Larsen of Walter Larsen and Associates, Alameda.

The Truckee Antiques show takes place Friday and Saturday, July 18 and 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is $4.00 ($1.00 discount per person with this article) with free return and free parking throughout the three-day event.

Food service will be provided by volunteers from the Truckee High School Boosters Club, chaired this year by Kathleen Braber. Judy Lang of Miracle Glass Repair, Grass Valley, will accept glass and china for repair and restoration. Ernest Portillo of JMJ Antique Jewelry, Sacramento will provide on-site jewelry repair.

These services will be available during all show hours. There will be daily drawings for Antique Bucks which can be used at any Twin Bridges' Show, including Truckee. Truckee High School is located at 11725 Donner Pass Road in Truckee (Exit #184 off I-80), approximately thirty minutes from Reno, NV.
