Code PINK Opinion One Sided
By Jeff Fotheringham
The opinion on Code Pink was extremely one sided and not very informative.
The repeated references to each spokesperson as "mothers" to make them sympathetic characters, as well as zero description of what actually occurred was substandard writing in my opinion.
I would have liked to see a few quotes from the Marines (by the way the code pink ladies forgot to mention "baby killers" when describing the Marines).
The code pink protesters remind me a lot of the anti-choice protesters in the 80's-90's by blocking people's legitimate access to the entrance and yelling and screaming at the people entering the building.
Also they mentioned those 4,000 Soldiers and one million Iraqis have died in Iraq. I would like to point out that not all of the brave people that have died are Soldiers, some are Sailors, Marines and Airman, and also I think the one million Iraqis figure is a little high.
I do support code pink's right to protest but it seems that they are given an unfair advantage from their bizarre city council and their tactics are a bit over the top.
