HealthSouth Corporation to Sell 8.8 Million Shares of Common Stock
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., June 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- HealthSouth
Corporation (the "Company") (NYSE: HLS) today entered into an underwriting
agreement with J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. in connection with the issuance and
sale by the Company to J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. of 8.8 million shares of
common stock of the Company. The Company will use the net proceeds of the
offering for redemption and repayment of short-term or long-term borrowings
and for general corporate purposes including acquisitions of or investments in
businesses or assets, capital expenditures, and working capital.
