iSECUREtrac GPS Systems in the News

iSECUREtrac Corp. (OTCBB: ISEC), an industry leader in electronic monitoring solutions, has been featured in several local stories and interviews over the last several weeks concerning its GPS surveillance systems and its role in helping to monitor offenders released into community supervision.

The most recent was a live conversation with Peter Michel, President and CEO of iSECUREtrac on the KFAB Good Morning Radio Show (click here for interview). Interviewed by popular radio personality Gary Sadlemyer, Mr. Michel explained that one of the benefits of utilizing GPS surveillance is that a probation or parole officer always knows the location of an individual under their supervision. With less intensive electronic surveillance like house arrest, for example, an officer only knows whether or not the individual is at home. "For many individuals released to probation or parole," said Mr. Michel, "more intensive, 24-hour electronic supervision can be an effective deterrent to further criminal activity."

Previously, Mr. Michel was interviewed by local NBC affiliate WOWT-TV Channel 6 in Omaha, NE during a recent on-site visit by the news station (see interview here). Prompting both the KFAB and WOWT interviews was the arrest of an individual suspected of groping two young girls in Omaha, NE in May and June. When arrested, the suspect was wearing an electronic monitoring device manufactured by an iSECUREtrac competitor. Both interviews are also available on the iSECUREtrac web site.
