Blueprint Education Announces New Partnership With Pacific Quest Learning Program
GLENDALE, Ariz., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Blueprint Education, a nonprofit
educational organization, has announced a partnership withHawaii-based
Pacific Quest that will allow students in the personal development program to
receive academic credit.
Blueprint Education, headquartered inGlendale, Ariz., will provide print-
based curriculum for students participating in Pacific Quest, which works with
students ages 13 to 17. Participants live in a base camp setting on an eight-
acre working, organic farm on theBig Island of Hawaii. The students learn
basic living skills and a strong work ethic by being responsible for all
farming and camp duties while receiving individual and group counseling.
"For many of our students, poor academic performance plays a large role in
their negative coping skills and behaviors," said Marney Sullivan, Admissions
Director of Pacific Quest. "Instead of perpetuating the problem, Pacific Quest
allows students the opportunity to complete accredited classes. With academics
built in to the student's overall program success, they begin to develop
better academic skills and motivations."
Through the partnership with Blueprint Education, Pacific Quest students
can enroll in specific courses that fit their academic needs. Students will
then be able to transfer their academic credits back to a traditional school,
or they can choose to continue their studies through Blueprint Education to
earn their high school diploma.
Blueprint Education has been helping students succeed for 39 years and
serves junior high and high school students throughoutArizona, across the
nation, and abroad. It originated in 1926 as a correspondence school. In 1969,
it was incorporated by the state ofArizona as a private non-profit
organization and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Today,
