Graybar Awarded DLA Prime Vendor Contract
ST. LOUIS, June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Graybar, a leading distributor of
electrical and communications products and related supply chain management and
logistics services, has announced it has been awarded a one-year Prime Vendor
Contract renewal with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Southwest Region --
Zone 1 valued at an estimated $74 million. The U.S. Department of Defense made
the announcement May 15.
Under this contract, Graybar provides maintenance, repair and operations
(MRO) supplies and related services to the U.S. Military and federal civilian
agencies inNevada andCalifornia. This is the first DLA contract renewal for
Graybar this year.
Graybar was one of seven companies that originally competed for the
contract and was the incumbent contract holder for this region. Graybar has
been serving the DLA Southwest Region -- Zone 1 since 1998.
