Engineering News-Record and Construction Users Roundtable to Host Construction Business Forum on June 10-11 in St. Louis, MO
NEW YORK, June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- To address construction concerns in
today's economic landscape, McGraw-Hill Construction's Engineering News-Record
(ENR) and the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) are bringing the second
annual ENR/CURT Construction Business Forum toSt. Charles, Missouri (St.
Louis metro area) at the Ameristar Hotel & Casino on June 10-11, 2008.
Robert Murray, vice president of economic affairs for McGraw-Hill
Construction, will share facts and figures for planning in this year's bumpy
market with the Forum's 300 attendees. His update to the 2008 projections for
U.S. construction start activity will offer insights on changing prospects for
nonresidential building and public works. This will be the first presentation
of 2008 where the Economic Outlook Midyear Report will be distributed.
Participants will also meet and network with major owners to learn about
construction trends and to discuss timely industry issues, such as the
business case for sustainability, workforce case studies, and successful
collaboration in a technology-driven age. Presenters will examine changing
industry dynamics and exchange ideas for adapting in a global environment
where construction costs are rapidly rising and contractor resources
shrinking. The Forum audience is made up of owners, contractors, facility
managers, construction managers, engineers, architects, equipment and building
product manufacturers.
The Forum program includes a keynote presentation by Luc J. Messier,
