Church of Scientology to Work With Hindu Leader Zed on Interfaith Actions
Church of Scientology International (CSI) has expressed interest in working with acclaimed Hindu leader Rajan Zed on interfaith issues.
Edward Parkin, Director and Vice President for Cultural Affairs of CSI, in a communiqué to Zed, wrote, "...I look forward to working with you on our mutual interfaith actions. We really need to bring religious beliefs, faith and action back to this culture. We are in planning mode for the next Interfaith Conference and would be highly interested in working with you...".
Zed has also been invited to attend annual CSI Celebrity Gala Celebration on August two next. He has also been asked to participate in large national interfaith "Children's Day" event/conference to be organized by CSI in Los Angeles (USA) on November 23, in which Nickelodeon Studios and Los Angeles Lakers (prominent National Basketball Association team) are also participating. He has also been invited to visit CSI headquarters in Los Angeles.
Scientology began in 1950 with publication of Dianetics by L. Ron Hubbard. It claims to have a network of over 2,600 churches, missions and groups around the world. The ultimate goal of Scientology is true spiritual enlightenment and freedom for the individual.
Hinduism, oldest and third largest religion of the world, has about one billion followers. Moksha (liberation) is the ultimate goal of Hinduism.
