Media Is The Masses: Everything You Know Is Wrong?

Human nature causes us to superimpose media of personal bias, assumption and imagination onto our reality. The medium that is our life can become formatted with unintentional or unconscious fictions and fantasies, in various ways.

What if you became aware that your sense or conceptions of reality was schizophrenic? Composed of delusion and hallucinations? And yet, what others insist are delusion and hallucination are experienced as totally real to you? What if you realized or are told persistently and consistently that what you thought was reality was not actually real?

Not merely gone... but had never even existed?! To discover that your perception is deception... that your life is a kind of lie, misunderstanding or illusion. It's as if you didn't exist, that everything you've done or thought you knew is imaginary or false. And what if you're informed that things you remember never happened, or happened differently?

Or if you can't even recall your past, or some portion of it?
What a tremendous and terrifying invalidation and insubstantiation of self that must be!

Existing in non-existence.

But what if those people assuring you of your error, and all their alleged "evidence" to the contrary of what you believe- are wrong? What if they are deluded or deceived? What if they are the illusory delusion?

Is there, indeed, no spoon?! How do you go on with your life with no escape from the apparent fact that you are living in a kind of dream world or alternate reality?

Can you trust your conviction? Your memory? Can you take a leap of faith that it is you who sees clearly? Should you take that leap?

What must it be like to live in two co-existing worlds- each seemingly equally real?

Do you surrender and abandon your more familiar, intimate or preferred version of reality? Risk betraying yourself and that other life you "knew" (or Know)? How do you maintain or preserve your sanity? Your identity? Your security?

Conceptually compartmentalize, like me? Keep it to yourself?

Dare becoming Zarathustra, Cassandra, Chicken Little?

What shall you do if/when no one believes you? What if the masses don't/ won't/ can't see what you see, or as you see?

How, then, could you persuade and prove to them? In this case, how can you prove even to yourself that you see and know what seems real to you?

Do you accept being perceived, stigmatized, shunned, ridiculed, maligned as the crazy person? Or concede, conform and submit to the peer pressure of what appears to be consensus reality? "Simply" live with multiplicity discrepancy?

Ignore your perception of reality? Or the mainstream's?

Try to go with the flow and fit in to this reality accepted by the masses?

Resist, defy, and seek a way out? Immerse yourself in a divergent reality?

Who and what do you trust or believe in such a scenario?
